It’s weird. I cannot collect my thoughts. I had my pre service training today and am an official Peace Corps Volunteer! It’s a lot of information to take in at once, but one thing that has stuck out is I will not be in touch with people for a couple months. So, I will post a genuine reflection tomorrow, but after 2 hours of sleep last night it’s time for bed in Philadelphia.

Hey Maggie: My son Ryan just finished his tour of duty in Kenya and is taking an 8 week backpacking trip through southeast Asia. Reading your blog reminded me so much of his first 90 days’ blogs. Things do get better in many ways once you are not living with everyone and learning the language. I intend to follow your adventures with interest and admiration. Rob
